Training body parts

Ethan Schmelzer 7 years ago updated by andy 7 years ago 2

How many times a week are you able to train each muscle group? Ive heard you can train each body part up to 6 times a week? is this possible? how would you go about going about this if you can?

It is possible, but think about it. When you train chest you ALSO train shoulders and triceps with them...naturally. I believe a good split is one you enjoy, and for me I enjoy pounding 1 bodypart at a time and doing squats daily! See my program here! https://content.tigerfitness.com/squat-every-day-rehab-health/

Can't seem to progressively overload

bprofit72 7 years ago updated by andy 7 years ago 2

Hi Marc,

I've been training consistently for 2 1/2 to 3 years and I haven't been able to increase the weight I use to progressively overload for a while now, so my gains have stalled.  I'm a smaller guy (5' 8" at 142 lbs) and I only manage to bench 145 lbs and squat 180 lbs for 6 reps.  I workout at home, so I don't have a spotter or a full cage with pins if I fail, making it difficult to train beyond failure.  I've tried drop sets and things like that, but I still can't increase me weight.  Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks for you time.

You are at 145 for 6....Go to 155 and hit 4 reps and do it until you can get 6. Once you get 6, go to 155...and so on. You have to alter things

BCAA's

If you're already getting enough protein for the day (1-1.5g per lb.), or even more than enough, is it necessary to supplement with BCAA's as well?

Absolutely! Take DURING training to help build muscle and burn fat. Free form act much different than bonded when taken intraworkout. Consume 2 scoops Machine Fuel during training!

Hi, I am a 62 year old male who over the past year and a half has lost 95 pounds my question is how can I lose the remaining body fat around my mid section?

I go to the gym 6 times a week and do steady state cardio 5 times a week for 40 minutes, am I doing too much, and will that keep me from achieving my goal of showing abs, I am not looking to get ripped just want to look good.

Thank you!

AWESOME WORK! You need to adjust your calories to lose. See www.dropfactorbook.com. You might need to break out a food scale to be accurate!
