Lower back pain while running after lean mass gain!?
I've put 20lbs on this last cycle. I used to do 7:30 splits on my 5k. I started focusing less on cardio and more on lifting. Now when i try to run I get lower back pain that all but cripples me after about a mile. also i'm getting some calf and shin pain.
i use custom orthotics and proper footwear being in the orthopedic shoe business. the only thing i can think of is all the weight i've gained. what can i do to get my running ability back!? will i have to lose some of this mass to be comfortable?!
Leg pain during leg raises?
Hi,
I am trying to progress onto doing hanging leg raises however I seem to be either feeling this more so in my legs more than my lower abs.
Sometimes I even get slight pain around the knee area, would you know the potential cause of this and a solution? I tend to feel it less so if I were to do them lying down but as soon as I progress onto the hanging variation I always feel it in my legs.
I am positive my form is correct and I try to minimize swinging and I am correctly bracing my core when attempting to do this exercise.
Thanks
Josh
Is Suma Root, aka "The Russian Secret", a supplement to consider and take seriously?
Have you seen any anecdotal or scientific evidence to support using it as a supplement?
The Fat Loss Factor diet has keeps protein high but you have also spoken about excess protein causing fat gain in one of your past videos. How much protein is too much? And is the Fat Loss Factor macro count still a solid plan for our bodybuilding goals?
Confusion about total protein for the day based on the Fat Loss Factor. Is this too much protein and will it cause fat gain or are the macros still spot on?
orthotics and lifting
Marc, could you give your recommendations for someone with the goal of bodybuilding and symmetry on using custom orthotics? Are there specific intensities that I should and should not wear them? Is it better for my feet's arches to wear orthotics while training or not? Do you think they will improve or make worse the underlying cause of imbalances in the legs, etc? Thanks!
