Bodybuilding on a Budget!
Marc, I'm a college student on a tight budget. Which supplements do you recommend so that I can get the most GAINS for my buck? I can spend about $100 a month!
I'm looking at building muscle and putting on some size. Thank you for your insights!
I don't count whey since it is FOOD so...
Machine Fuel
CLASH
Machine Greens
Ethitech Fish Oil
Peak Physicor
Marc/Tiger Fitness, (Shoulder Pain)
Myself and my wife included have different varying shoulder pains with different movements. Mainly incline and flat wide dumbbell press as well as overhead barbell press, we are bodybuilding for size and strength. How can we move past this? Thanks
I would get it checked out AND don't do that! Don't do wide press, it strains your shoulders! do regular flat DB bench press
Sleep
Since it is so difficult for society to get enough sleep, how many hours a night should you realistically aim for?
Shin splits
How should one treat a shin split at their tibia tuberosity. And how long should they wait till bodweight barbelll squatting again?
It should decipate with rest and your body will adapt. I would squat as soon as it doesn't hurt too bad
What kind of lifting mindset is best for athletes specifically in sports like lacrosse or hockey?
I am a college athlete playing lacrosse. I am constantly in a struggle to pick the best kind of lifting mindset in regards to my sport. A lot of times I lift with smaller rep schemes for power, but at other times I increase the volume and cannot decide nor have found anything on what the best kind of mindset in regards to amount of reps per set and how many sets I do that would best benefit me for my sport especially since lacrosse is a combination of endurance, power, but at the same time being able to be just as explosive in the first quarter as you are in the fourth quarter while being able to be explosive during long runs at offense or long defensive runs.
Have speed and power days and be sure to keep up with agility and plyos in the field. The mindset is...get stronger and more explosive!
What are your thoughts on pre-workout Baking Soda for reducing lactic acid for more reps?
Be ready for HORRIBLE GI distress! What you need is a good pre like CLASH and all of that is a non issue with Beta Alanine and the other ingredients!
It depends on your prep. But:
I carb deplete Tues-Thurs then load friday
I do NOT deplete water
Train HARD
