Will dieting for over a year and a half destroy a person's metabolism? I have heard long term calorie restriction can cause adrenal fatigue and or slowed metabolism. What are your thoughts?
Not destroy....but the body adapts. You will have to work on slowly bringing the metabolism back up through strategic dieting and then gaining weight SLOWLY and adding calories back in to adapt to a new level of calories and activity. The body LOVES homeostasis
