Do assisted pullups help build pull up strength ?

wassup marc im currently 14 at about 132-134 pound i workout 6 times sometimes 7 times a week that basketball and a some weight traning i been weight traning for about 6 years and i usually can do a good amount of pullups but i stopped for a month straight now i cant do it no more so i went to assisted pullups am i wasting my time or am i slowly building up thanks love ur energy in the videos 

YES IT DOES! Just aim to decrease the assistance until you don't need any!
